As a little girl, Sunday mornings were spent on the floor of my grandmother’s house. Squished up beside my cousins, we would look through boxes and boxes of photographs, listening to her stories of times long past. I think this is when I first saw photography as the ultimate storyteller. And it’s why I believe that images have the power to transcend generations.
I was born and raised in Brazil (more on that later!) before moving to Seattle in 2016. For me, photography is still about capturing the beauty in the little moments. The moments that may fade as the years go by, but deserve to be remembered for a lifetime.
Becoming a mother changed me forever.
The growing, changing, evolving, heartbeat of what it means to love a little person you created yourself: there’s nothing else like that. Time doesn’t slow down, no matter how much you’re enjoying yourself, so capturing all the genuine, special moments (big or small!) has been my calling in life.
I talk a lot, but I promise it will make you feel comfy! Super-charging every ‘shoot with my Latina Superpower, I want you to feel relaxed as if we’ve been friends for a lifetime. No traditional poses. No forced smiles. Let’s revolt against what photography “should be” and do things our way.
